Solr is the behind-the-scenes software that runs searches within Content Station and on our Drupal websites.

Signs that Solr might be down

  • Search won't sort.
  • No facets appear in Content Station.
  • Files are missing from Content Station.
  • S1029 error (clear and re-index to solve)

WoodWing's health check will also tell you if Solr is down.

Indexing Solr

Can be done from WoodWing admin panels.

Restarting Solr

The command to restart Solr is /Library/Tomcat/bin/startup.sh.

Check http://edit.chicago.mtgmediagroup.com:8180 or run the health check within the WoodWing admin panels to ensure that it's back online after restart.

Elvis

Elvis uses a separate Lucene database. It shouldn't need re-indexing often but that is available through the Elvis admin page.
