Over the course of our workflow, the copy part of a story is both an Article and a Layout.

Before the art team starts its work, the story is an Article. Articles can only take inline notes, which are placed in the Multi-Channel Text Editor (right-click the article and select “Open”).

After the art team has laid out the story, it becomes a Layout. You can use inline notes in the text components of a Layout, or you can use sticky notes. To do this, right-click the layout and select “Open in Publication Overview.” Use the buttons on the left to place Sticky Notes as needed. Note that each Sticky can contain a threaded discussion. To delete a Sticky Note, right-click on the pin icon on the layout.
